“Leonberger Club of America member and AKC Breeder of Merit”

What began as hobby training for a very spotty Dalmatian evolved into a full time avocation over
40 years ago.  Instructing dog obedience classes was a natural outlet for my secondary education
background and lifelong love of dogs.  Pictured is CH Pompeii’s Promise of Glory, CDX, Can CD,
going High In Trial at Erie KC in 1975. She earned three AKC all-breed High In Trial awards and a
Dog World Award for obedience in her career.

Our journey led from Dalmatians to German Shepherds and Leonbergers in 1995.  We share our
home with four Leonbergers and cousin Lucy, a Pug-Chihuahua mix. All our dogs are house pets,
well socialized and obedience trained; but capable of pinning us down on the sofa if so inclined.

Jeff, a retired ship captain, now participates in all aspects of our dog world, from raising puppies to
piloting Leos in the show and performance rings.  We are both AKC approved Canine Good
Citizen and Trick Dog Evaluators.

The health and longevity issues facing the Leonberger breed are of great concern. We place the
health of the dogs first in any breeding plan. We continue to study and research bloodlines and
health related materials before committing to a breeding.  Most importantly our dogs and those we
select to breed with, all completed recommended health testing and have CHIC (Canine Health
Information Center) numbers on file for reference.

Thank you for visiting our website.  We hope you enjoy your stay!
